Description: The Rehabilitation and Recovery Service assists people with a mental illness to choose, get and keep valued roles in the community like being an employee, tenant or student. Working through a step by step process, on a one to one basis with a Rehabilitation Worker, individuals identify goals, learn skills and make the changes needed to be successful and satisfied in their goal areas. Getting involved – The first step in applying for this service involves attending a small group information session. The purpose of this session is to provide information about the Rehabilitation and Recovery Service that will help people to decide if they would like to apply.
Information shared in the session:
- An overview of CMHA Manitoba and Winnipeg and the Rehabilitation and Recovery Service;
- An overview of recovery and how we use it in our work with people;
- Guidelines on who would be a match for our service; and
- Applications are made available to interested individuals
Instructor: Cara Zabudny
