This service works with single parents facing social stresses who have children under the age of 6 and who are enrolled in the single parent category of Employment and Income Assistance.
Parents, especially single parents on low income, can face mental health stresses that negatively impact their parenting or livelihood.
The Parent Wellness Initiative partnership works with parents to:
- Find a place to live
- Acquire meaningful employment or education
- Build positive relationships
- Identify meaningful activities
- Be an effective parent
