Our Association in Winnipeg is governed by a Board of Directors that has a minimum of 8 members and a maximum of 14 members. The Board strives for representation that includes consumers, family members, and caregivers. Board members are elected at the Association’s annual general meeting in June of each year.
A major role of the Board is to define the Association’s values and vision and the impact the organization will have in our community. Values are articulated in Board policy statements known as ENDS statements.

The Canadian Mental Health Association Manitoba and Winnipeg exists so that all people of Manitoba experience mental health, well-being and recovery, making mental health a universal human right through the efficient and effective use of resources.

People experience safety, belonging, community and well-being across their lifespan.
People struggling with mental health and/or addictions have equitable, timely, effective, and culturally appropriate supports.
People honour, value, and have meaningful engagement with mental health as a crucial component of their own and others’ overall well-being.
People experience integrated mental health and addictions systems that maximize a continuum of support that intend toward sustainability.
