Good mental health is not about being happy all the time. In fact, a mentally healthy life includes the full range of human emotions – even the uncomfortable ones like sadness, fear, and anger. Even if we try to push our difficult feelings down, they do not go away. This course will explore the mental health benefits of identifying our emotions and sharing our feelings with others. Emotional self-regulation, the ability to label and shape your emotions will be presented as an effective mental health strategy. This course is being offered during Mental Health Week in recognition of the CMHA commitment of “Mental Health for All”.
